# Earning Rates

Zocta Points accrue daily based on eligible capital, participation type, and campaign rules. Season 1 includes separate rates for LP Activity and Referral Activity.

| LP Activity through referral or Alpha participation | Earn points for maintaining eligible capital in zOPAL            | 10 Zocta / $ / day |
| LP Activity without referral                        | Earn points for maintaining eligible capital in zOPAL            | 7 Zocta / $ / day  |
| Referral Activity                                   | Earn points based on eligible capital maintained by referred LPs | 3 Zocta / $ / day  |

### Example Calculations

The examples below show how Zocta Points may accrue during a full 180-day season.

#### LP Activity Example

If a user maintains $1,000 in eligible zOPAL participation for 180 days at 10 Zocta / $ / day, the user can collect:

$1,000 × 10 × 180 = 1,800,000 Zocta Points

#### Referral Activity Example

If a referred LP maintains $1,000 in eligible zOPAL participation for 180 days, the referrer can collect:

$1,000 × 3 × 180 = 540,000 Zocta Points
